What is MyFriendlyFire.de?
MyFriendlyFire.de is a small online shop for gaming supplies and consumer electronics with products such as gaming mice, mouse pads, gaming chairs, gaming tables, gaming PCs, graphics cards, headsets, speakers, mainboards/motherboards, processors, steering wheels, hard drives, cases, adapters, cables and much more .
Who is actually behind MyFriendlyFire.de?
MyFriendlyFire.de was officially founded on October 31st, 2021 by our founder Sebastian Wittich from southern Hesse. He wants to build up a small extra income with the online shop to finance his tuition fees and also to create a little more independence from his mini job in an industry hard hit by Covid19. In addition, this shop should serve to apply the newly learned course content in practice in order to gain new practical experience and become more attractive for the job market. With your purchase you support him and bring him one step closer to his goals.
Is MyFriendlyFire.de a competitor to stationary retail?
It is important for the founder not to compete directly with the stationary trade, but rather to offer a supplement with products that not every shop in a city center could offer, simply because the quantities of the products sold would be too small to make a to fill the shop or because they are simply too special and the demand in the catchment area would not be sufficient. Especially with very cheap products, the postage would often be more expensive than the product, which of course makes online trading with it not exactly sensible. Therefore, when choosing products, we try not to offer products that you could also buy in the retail store around the corner, such as batteries. Our products may also be found in brick-and-mortar retail, but actually all of these shops also offer these products in their own online shop, which is why our online shop does not actually compete with brick-and-mortar retail.
What advantages would stationary retail offer?
Of course, stationary retail offers advantages such as individual advice and support on site, which our MyFriendlyFire.de team cannot provide or can only provide with very great restrictions, for example via telephone, Teamspeak or Discord. That would not only be very impersonal, but also possibly not really helpful for you. So if advice is desired that our support cannot provide, we would refer you to the stationary trade, which has hired extra experts for the respective specialist area who deal with the relevant topics all day long.
In order to be able to offer you the products as cheaply as possible, we unfortunately cannot hire any experts for this, as we would have to add all costs to the prices. This would then put customers at a disadvantage who do not want or need any advice at all and simply want to buy the desired product as cheaply as possible.
What advantages does our online shop offer?
Our online shop is open for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and not only offers thousands of products at a fair price, but also offers you additional and more detailed product information for many products, which you cannot necessarily expect in retail. From more detailed descriptions of the functions and features, to more images, including examples of use, to product videos that the manufacturers of the products have created for advertising purposes. With some products, you can even look at the product in 3D from all sides before you buy it and thus make an even more informed decision to buy or perhaps not to buy the product in question, without risking any trouble because you have the original packaging opened and removed the product prior to purchase. The various unboxing videos could be just as useful, on which you can see what is in the package at the end if you order it from us. In addition, there are the videos of product testers who have already tested the product, so that they can tell you whether a purchase would make sense at all or whether it's just #gamingscrap in the end.
In our shop you have all the time in the world to look around, read product descriptions, let product images and videos work on you and ultimately make a decision for or perhaps against a purchase without other customers or your employees being able to disturb you stands in the way.
How secure is shipping?
So that your order actually reaches you in the end and is protected as best as possible against theft, your order will be sent neutrally, i.e. without our logo on the package. So it is not obvious from the outside that the package contains a graphics card worth €800 or more, for example, unlike if the name of a well-known electronics retailer were written in large letters on the outside of the package. With the tracking details, you can also see at any time where your package is on its way to you or when it will arrive.
What to do if something should happen?
If, contrary to all expectations, a shipment is "lost" or damaged, the goods are actually insured by the respective shipping service provider. So please contact us immediately if something like this has happened and, in the case of a parquet that has already been damaged from the outside, make a note of this when accepting the package or refuse it. If in doubt, please make a simple unboxing video showing the packaging and how to open it. It doesn't have to be very professional or elaborate, but it could be useful if something goes wrong with the show. So far this hasn't happened, but better save than sorry 😉.
